Towards Polytopal meshes in Gmsh

Towards Polytopal meshes in Gmsh

Workshop
26–27 January 2026, Montpellier

Intro

The success of simulation-based analysis of real-life systems based on approximate solutions to PDEs is the result of two interacting endeavours.

The aim of this workshop is to gather members from both communities to discuss solutions to bridge solvers and general-purpose meshers, sharing knowledge about mesh data structures in various software along the way.

As prominent references the Gmsh finite-element mesh generator and the HArD::Core suite will be considered.
